Real Murcia demoted

YESTERDAY the Liga de Fútbol Profesional made public announcement that all fans of Real Murcia had dreaded, Real Murcia S.A.D have not been allowed to register in the Liga Adelante (2nd Division) due to lack of financial control.

Close to 1000 Murcia fans had travelled to Madrid to protest outside the offices of the LFP in what would become a dark day in Murcian Sporting history, this now means that the club can only register in the Segunda B division and a huge fall from grace after last season finishing in the play off places and coming so close to promotion to La Liga.

The LFP have also stated that Real Racing Club Santander could register in the league after promotion from the Segunda B group 1 but with huge supported backlash last season when fans attacked the Directors box during a Copa del Rey fixture.

CD Mirandes have been given the go ahead to apply for the position and they are currently looking over the paperwork to see if they can raise the capital and a squad to be able to compete at that level.

It remains to be seen what will happen with the Segunda B group 4 as fixtures had already been released and a major reshuffle should now come into effect. We will try and keep on top of all the news over the coming days. What are your thoughts on the issues? Do the LFP need to look at a restructure of TV rights throughout the leagues?
