iPad Mini 3 Out Now!
The iPad Mini 3 has gone on sale in the UK, and is available to pick up from dedicated Apple Stores and John Lewis.
Arriving just days after pre-orders kicked off online on Friday, the iPad Mini 3 is now available to buy from retail stores.
The 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models are priced at £319, £399 and £479, respectively, while the versions with 4G LTE will cost £419, £499 and £579.
The tablet is available to pick up now, as is the iPad Air 2 which also went on sale today in gold, silver and space grey models.
The iPad Mini 3 is also available to buy online, and Apple has promised delivery within “two to four days”.
Apple have confirmed that its new iPads will be in limited supply to begin with, but stores will receive more stock on Thursday.
Currys will start offering the new iPads from Thursday. UK operators EE, O2, Three and Vodafone don’t currently have the pint-sized tablet in stock, but are likely to do so on Thursday.
Announced last week, the iPad Mini 3 doesn’t offer too much of an improvement over its predecessor, and isn’t as much of an overhaul as its iPad Air 2 sibling.
As well as introducing a new gold colour, Apple added a Touch ID sensor to its iPad Mini tablet, which runs the firm’s newest iOS 8.1 software release.
Beyond that, the iPad Mini 3’s features are largely the same as last year’s model, packing a 7.9in 1536×2048 screen, Apple’s A7 chip, dual 5MP and 1.2MP cameras and a 10-hour battery life.
