Suárez ready for Real rumble

Luis Suárez is just eleven days away from completing the lengthy ban imposed on him by FIFA, which will finally allow him to make his ‘La Liga’ debut. And who could be no more worthy first opponents than Real Madrid?

“I’m really looking forward to the experience. You never know, but I’m one of those guys that thinks everything happens for a reason – from the 19 possible opponents, if it’s Real Madrid that I’ll make my return against then it must be for some reason or another” Luis Suárez explained in the official Barcelona club magazine in an extensive interview that covers his whole career.

“For the first two months I didn’t feel like a football player. That was the worst thing, because people make mistakes and it’s always good to accept them, but the most frustrating thing is to not feel like another worker like the rest of the players; that’s what hurt me the most”, he explains.

“I won’t waste my opportunity to play for Barça. In the 15 minutes in the Gamper game I really felt like a guest, rather than a ‘Culé’ player. Over the last two games when I’ve watched my teammates playing I’ve experienced an increased anxiety and desire to play. I want to help the team, but the waitings almost over now”, he says.

Luis Suárez showed in Oman that he’s ready for Luis Enrique to include him in the team when his ban finally comes to an end. He’s preparing for his return, and it looks like it could come in a crucial ‘Clásico’ against ‘Los Blancos’.
