Steve has at last got the bottle
In January local presenter and quizmaster Darren James assisted the Torrevieja Costa Lions Club by making the draw for the Lions Festive gallon of Scotch whisky at his regular Tuesday evening quiz night at Bar Monte in Los Montesinos. The name drawn out was that of Steve Carroll who has a holiday home in Los Montesinos. Steve bought his ticket on Boxing Day and had returned to his home in Liverpool with his wife Sue to celebrate New Year.
Steve was back in Los Montesinos this week and met up with Lion President Iain Bennett to receive his prize. Thanks to all the staff at Bar Monte for selling tickets to their regulars and friends. All monies raised from the Lions festive fundraising, 2,800.00 euros, have already been presented to ALPE in Torrevieja.
