El Alto Hosts The The Alzheimers Association (AFA) Fundraiser
Another successful fund-raising night at El Alto La Dolores Restaurant in Guardamar, when Woody & The Peckers literally had diners jiving and strolling in the aisles, as well as the dance floor. This event was in aid of The Alzheimers Association (AFA), and all profit from ticket sales and the raffle, which amounted to 575.60 euros, has been given to AFA.
Matilda Sanchez, President of AFA, told how their Government funding is never sufficient to meet their needs. With the exception of trained professionals, all their staff are volunteers, who do not even claim expenses. They work so hard to make life more comfortable for sufferers and their families. Funds are desperately needed to help them achieve their aims.
El Alto La Dolores Restaurant will be hosting their next fund-raising event on Saturday 2nd May. This will be an afternoon BBQ, with entertainment from Ronnie Taylor aka Justin Sane, with a guest appearance by Vinny Mack. This event will be to raise much needed funds for Elche Children’s Home.
