June 2015 Meeting of the Vega Baja Garden Club.
The June meeting of the Vega Baja Garden Club was the final one of the season before the summer break.
Members enjoyed an informal lunch, and a garden quiz, which had been prepared by Alan Davis, a member of the club.
The marigold growing competition was judged by John Howes, an experienced RHS judge. Some months ago, members were given seeds, the aim being to produce the best flowering marigold plant. The winning plant was grown by Terry Sangwine, John commended it for its even and balanced shape and flowers.
The meeting ended with the usual raffle of plants.
The next meeting will be held after the summer break at Bar Trasgu, Calle Alicante 12, Formentera del Segura, on Monday 7th September at 2.15 for a 2.30 start.
