Charity Night Fund Raiser for MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT
A charity fund-raiser for THE MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT CHARITY was held at Bar Chaplin’s in the Urbanisation of Roquetas De Mar on Saturday 27th June 2015. The magnificent sum of €1,628.00 was raised during the evening, which included horse racing, a raffle and other events. The evening concluded with an auction of some wonderful items. An anonymous local gave some very rare coins up for auction, together with a large number of other items and donations raised over €900.00.
Jon Clarke of Chaplin’s can be seen presenting the proceeds to Linda Henry, who received the money on behalf of MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT. Linda has also recently raised a further €600.00 at a ‘girls night-in’ fund-raiser, so the total raised at these events is €2,228.00.
“What a great night!” said Jon, mine-host of Chaplin’s, and he and Debbie want to personally thank all his locals and holidaymakers for rallying round to support such a good cause, which affects almost everybody!
The final ‘thank you’ goes to all the team that volunteered and helped to make the night such a success. Well done to all!
