La Vuelta
AN OUTSTANDING PARTICIPATION
Less than two weeks before the start of the 2015 Vuelta, the great names of international cycling have confirmed their presence in the departure at Puerto Banus.
The Vuelta’s 70th edition will feature the participation of Chris Froome, winner of the 2015 Tour de France, Quintana, Nibali, Aru, Landa, Valverde, Joaquim Rodríguez, Van Gardern, Cancellara and Sagan, among others. As was already the case last year, cycling fans will have the opportunity of seeing the majority of international cycling stars fighting for the ultimate victory in Madrid.
A SPORTING PERSPECTIVE
This stage will take the peloton from the Puebla de Don Fadrique, in Granada, to the city of Murcia, that has not hosted a Vuelta stage since 2010. It will be a very fast-paced day, also affected by the heat, featuring a mainly downward slope. The peloton will have to overcome a double ascent up to the Cresta del Gallo, a 3rd category climb, that could make more differences among the riders on the way down than on the way up.
