500th Friday Tapas meeting in Roquetas de Mar
The Friday Tapas Group (FTG) celebrated their 500th Friday meeting at Chiringuito ‘Oasis on the Beach’ on Friday 11th September. The group was started back in 2005, when a small bunch of British ex-pats got together and started the tapas run. Many of the original members have now left these shores, due to age, illness and various other reasons, but still keep in touch through a newsletter. It’s a shame that many of the original members couldn’t join in the 500 celebration, but twenty of the current-day members did turn up and enjoyed a smashing meal, provided by the staff at OASIS. So, a big thank you must go to them for making it a very enjoyable occasion and, the group can be seen enjoying the afternoon in style, on the beach!
