OPEN DAY AT THE LOTUS YOGA CENTER MOJACAR
The LOTUS Yoga center in Mojacar is having an Open day on the 21st of November .
Many people have no idea that this beautiful little center exists right in the heart of the community. Established 10 years ago it is a registered charity run by qualified Integral Hatha Yoga teachers who donate their time to support many different charities and offer the wonderful opportunity for people to attend yoga classes that can quite literally change your health and life.
After the success of last years Open day we have decided to hold another this year. Giving people the opportunity to come along and try a free sample classes of yoga . along with some great sample therapy sessions, Shiatsu,Reflexology, Reiki, and massage.
There will also be a market with a large Rastro and a variety of stalls selling artisanal food, organic vegetables,, jewelry, drinks etc. Kevin Boreman will attend signing copies of his wonderful book about the area and answering questions.
There will be talks on therapies. And most exciting is the cake competition. Everyone gets an opportunity to try all the cakes.

The centre itself, has over the last two years donated over 6000 euros to Medicine with out frontiers, Caritas, the Spanish charity which has been making sure that families who have no work get food etc during this recession. A hospice in Rishikesh. and recently to AIMUR, a charity based in Almeria. All money raised on this open day will go to AIMUR. A wonderful charity that supports abused and trafficked women and children. This money has come indirectly from those attending classes and other activities at the center. Ahuge thank you to all our students. The current classes held at the center are, Sivanada yoga classes on Mondays and Integral Yoga classes the rest of the week in both Spanish and English. There is also a Chair yogaclass, which is amazing for anyone who is recovering from an illness or disabled or just has problems getting up and down from the floor. The centre also holds a night of Spiritual cinema once a month, meditation classes, satsangs and Kirtans.
If you have never tried ,or know nothing about yoga. Or have a long time personal practice, this is an opportunity to come along and find out all about us as well as having a fun inspiring day.
The open day will start at 11.00 through to 4.00pm . The sample classes on offer will be approximately at
English Beginners or experienced 11.15. Spanish yoga 12.15. Chair yoga 1.15. Yoga demonstration 2.00. Laughing Yoga 2.30 not to be missed. And finally the Cake completion judging at 3.00
You’ll find the L.O.T.U.S. Yoga Centre on the road between Mojacar and Turre. Travelling from Mojacar towards Turre around the base of the hill you will come to the new roundabout, take the exit for Turre, after about 20 meters take the first right. Follow this road about 50 meters and there will be signs for parking and a sign for the Yoga centre. If you come to the turning to the cemetery you have gone too far.
