David Bowie’s Musical Lazarus to make West End Debut

David Bowie musical Lazarus will make its West End debut this October.

Inspired by the Walter Tevis’ novel, The Man Who Fell To Earth, Lazarus will makes its West End debut at King’s Cross theatre.

The musical was first performed at the end of 2015 in New York Theatre Workshop. The production was one of the last works Bowie completed before his death.

Lazarus focuses on Thomas Newton, as he remains still on Earth – a ‘man’ unable to die. His head soaked in cheap gin and haunted by a past love. We follow Newton during the course of a few days where the arrival of another lost soul – might finally set him free.

Reprising their roles from the original New York production are Michael C Hall, who starred in hit TV series Dexter, Michael Esper and Sophia Anne Caruso.

When it opened in New York, Rolling Stone praised the show as “wild, fantastical, eye-popping, a surrealistic tour de force.”

Lazarus will run at London’s King’s Cross Theatre between 25 October – 22 January, book now at Ticketmaster.
