TERROR ATTACK IN LONDON
One woman is dead and a number of others suffer “catastrophic injuries” in major terror incident outside the Houses of Parliament.
A MAN wielding an ‘eight inch’ knife has been shot outside Parliament after charging the gates and stabbing a police officer – with cops declaring a ‘terror attack’ in the capital.
Up to a dozen innocent pedestrians were run over on Westminster Bridge by grey 4×4 which then crashed into the gates outside Parliament.
The Prime Minister was in voting lobby at the time of the attack and bundled into a car.
Parliament is on lock-down after a “terror attack” where a man ploughed a car into pedestrians before stabbing a police officer outside the Palace of Westminster.
As many as a dozen people were mowed down on Westminster Bridge by the attacker before smashing it into railing and then getting out and running towards the Houses of Parliament where he attacked a policeman.
As he approached a second officer, he was shot by armed officers.
Scotland Yard said the attack was being treated “as a terrorist incident until we know otherwise”.
An air ambulance landed in Parliament Square and medics were treating a number of people who had been injured in the incident.
There were a number of people lying in the road on the bridge, another images showed a man lying bleeding at the foot of stairs next to the Parliament building.
