Grand Tour host, host Richard Hammond has laughed off his motorbike crash on the set of his new TV show saying, ‘I think I just bounce, I’m lucky like that.’
The 47-year-old crashed in a remote part of Africa while filming the second series of Amazon’s The Grand Tour, and was left lying unconscious in the middle of the road.
It is the second time Mr Hammond has been seriously injured while filming, after he was involved in a near-fatal 288mph collision while presenting Top Gear in 2006.
In 2006 Hammond nearly died after crashing a jet powered car at 288 mph and slipped into a coma during an attempt to break the British land speed record for the BBC show.
He was driving a jet-powered Vampire dragster when the front-right tyre burst leading the vehicle to spin out of control during a stunt at Elvington airfield near York.
