A TRADE union has demanded that there be recognition for the work of nursing assistants in the province of Almeria.
The CSIF (Independent Trade Union Centre and Officials) trade union has called for social and labour support beyond mere recognition on International Nursing Assistant Day.
The union cites the unique issues staff suffer, including workload overload, significant salary differences and limited opportunities to advance.
They add that the Junta de Andalucia should provide greater support for staff beginning with increased focus and visibility about their work as they are a “fundamental pillar” of the healthcare system.
