Crafty people in Mojacar

0

FREE crafts workshops have begun in Mojacar. The initiative helps improve the cognitive and mind-body coordination of senior citizens interested in artistic creation.

The classes are dedicated to handicrafts, with new techniques taught and plenty of social interaction. Attendees work from a wide variety of materials, including wool, plastic, acrylic, clay, or anything else they fancy.

The workshops run until June and take place from 10.30am until 12.30pm each Wednesday at the Multiple Uses Centre under the watchful eye of Angelita Torregosa. People are free to begin classes at any time, though there are limited places available for each course.

For the remainder of 2017 the main focus will be the run-up to Christmas and creating new and unique patterns to share with family and friends.
