THE Association of Most Beautiful Towns and Villages in Spain will hold its sixth national assembly in Mojacar this weekend.
The mayors of the 57 towns belonging to the network will meet with the aim of creating specific plans for investment and innovation to improve tourism in Spain’s rural communities.
The Association, which already has 57 members – including Mojacar – promotes small municipalities through promotional activities and cultural events both inside and outside of Spain.
Prospective candidate towns must have a population of fewer than 15,000 inhabitants.
