A TOTAL of 102 women from different towns in Almeria have gathered to discuss women’s welfare.
The meeting, held in the auditorium of El Ejido, was the second meeting of the Women, Health and Well-being group.
The event, organised by the Department of Social Services, aims to share experiences and to publicise the work of the Primary Care Groups (GRUSE) and the Centres of Information for Women (MMICs).
Both groups aim to improve the health and welfare of vulnerable women who suffer psychological distress and have difficulty in dealing with everyday situations.
The groups hold eight to 10 sessions a month which are conducted by social work professionals.
