ALMERIA has officially entered three days of mourning after the body of missing 8-year-old Gabriel Cruz was discovered yesterday.
The mourning period was officially declared by Mayor Ramon Fernandez-Pacheco yesterday, who expressed his sorrow and shock at the tragic news after five minutes of silence were held at the Puerta de Purchena.
As a result, from midnight last night until midnight on Wednesday, the flag of the city will fly at half mast outside while council staff will also wear black ribbons in solidarity with the family.
The body of Gabriel was discovered in the boot of a car belonging to the girlfriend of Gabriel’s father, Ana Julia Quezada, yesterday afternoon.
