
ANDALUCIA’S 112 Emergency Services line took a total of 1,732 calls in connection with incidents on the province’s roads in the first half of this year.
Almeria came in at fifth out of the eight provinces in Andalucia. It was behind Cadiz at 2,263 and ahead of Cordoba at 1,195.
Personnel received a total of 433 calls in Almeria City between the start of January and the end of June. It came ahead of Huelva City with 246, Jaen City at 241 and Cadiz City, 136.
The figures come as emergency services personnel dealt with a total of 18,342 traffic incidents throughout all of Andalucia in the first half of this year.
Last year’s total was 17,727.
