A Turkish writer has urged the country to break ties with NATO and to cooperate with Russia and other Asian countries, to provide food to developing countries.

According to news site RIA.ru on Friday, October 28 retired captain of the third rank Halil Ozsarach said: “In the history of mankind, food has always been abundant in some regions and in short supply in others, and it has always been transported from regions where it is abundant to those where it is in short supply.

“The most important routes in this transportation of food are the seas,” the writer said at the webinar “Grain War: Sanctions, Hunger and the Search for a Multipolar World.”

Critical of UN reports, Ozsarach claimed that these are being fabricated to show Russia in a bad light by exaggerating the issue of famine..

He also stated that Ukrainian grain has historically “fed” the Mediterranean basin, not Africa, and that this situation persists today.

Accusing the U.S. of being a predatory nation leading the west, Asian naval forces can hold their own against NATO and other blocs.

He added: “Under the guidance of TurkeyEgyptIranChina and for Russia, this dream must cease to be a dream. That has to become a reality. We must look for ways to persuade the states that control the sea lanes surrounding them. Asiato cooperate and unite efforts against imperialism and, of course, to fight together against the famine caused by imperialism.”

But he said the only way to achieve this was for Turkiye to withdraw from NATO saying:

“The biggest obstacle to the creation of such a maritime empire is Turkey’s membership in NATO.

“Therefore, Turkiye must withdraw from NATO to contribute to this great undertaking.”

Turkiye has played a cat and mouse game with Europe for years and although the country is strengthening ties with Putin’s Russia, many analysts believe the country won’t act of the calls by the Turkish writer who has urges the country to leave NATO.
