
Musk also claims Apple threatening to withhold twitter from its app store
Twitter owner and CEO Elon Musk has announced that Apple has stopped all its advertising on Twitter.
According to a report by the BBC on Tuesday, November 29, Elon said, “Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter. Do they hate free speech in America?”
Musk has further claimed that Apple had threatened to “withhold” Twitter from their app store, the report said.
The report also states, the row between the two companies comes at a time when several companies have stopped their spending on Twitter advertisements.
Musk has also made claims via tweets, stating that due to pressure from activists, there has been a major drop in advertisement revenue at Twitter.
The report adds, Apple spent $48m in the first quarter of 2022 on advertisements and was the top advertiser on Twitter
Meanwhile Musk has said that he hopes to make revenue through the paid subscription on twitter, but at the moment, the report said, majority of the revenue for the company comes from advertisements.
