The artist revealed his work this time through an Instagram post with the caption “Borodyanka, Ukraine”. 

The British street artist Banksy publicly revealing of his latest artwork, after a post on his Instagram account. The artwork which depicts a gymnast balancing on the rubble, according to a report in Euronews on Friday, November 11, has been stencilled on a wall of a war-torn building.  

The artist also titled the Instagram post with the caption “Borodyanka, Ukraine”, which is the town where the building is located. A town located just a few kilometres from the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, Borodianka, according to the report, has become a symbol of the Ukrainian resistance against the Russians. It had been occupied by the Russian forces until April 2022 and was heavily damaged post the invasion.  

The report also says that asides from this artwork by the British artist, multiple Banksy-styled drawings made with stencils have appeared in and around the Ukrainian capital city. People in the country are now speculating if the artist may be still working in the country. 

Infact, another stencil drawing, typical of Banksy´s style has also recently appeared in the past few days. The artwork which has yet to be confirmed by Banksy, shows a child knocking down a man in judo great, the report adds, which is one of the Russian Presidents Vladimir Putin’s favourite sports. Aside from this, a third mural has also been spotted in the Irpin, a suburb in Kyiv, which is also yet to be confirmed by the artist.
