Russia is ultimately responsible for continuing the illegal war against Ukraine, the NATO chief said.

NATO’s Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has said that there is no indication that the explosion which took place in Poland, was a deliberate attack. Stoltenberg made this announcement on Wednesday, November 16, according to an article by Euronews.

“An investigation is ongoing, and we need to await its outcome, but we have no indication that this was an assault or a deliberate attack”, said Stoltenberg. He also added, “there is no proof that Russia is preparing offensive military actions against NATO”, according to the report.

The report also adds that the preliminary analysis suggests that the incident most likely was caused by Ukraine defence missiles. These missiles were fired by Ukraine to defend their territory against Russian cruise missiles.

The attack that happened on Tuesday killed two people near the Polish Ukranian border. The incident had taken place after Russian escalated an offensive in Ukraine through multiple missile strikes. Several energy installations have been reported to be damaged after the strikes took place across the country.
