Two people have been charged with the murder of a woman and her unborn baby after they were attacked in her car in the Danish town of Holbæk.

The victim who was an Afghan citizen living in Denmark, was waiting outside the nursing home where she worked, before she was attacked.

The incident took place last Thursday and woman died on spot. The unborn baby boy who had initially survived since the last weeks attack also died in the hospital on Tuesday, according to the Police reports. The 37-year-old woman was seven months pregnant before she was murdered.

Two Afghan citizens including a 24-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman have been charged with the murder of the woman and her unborn child and will be held in remand for the next four weeks.

According to police reports, the two women were closely related but the motive of the murder is still unclear. Meanwhile, both the suspects have pleaded not guilty to the charges, even though according to police reports, the victim was allegedly stabbed numerous times before having her throat cut.
