YouTube star Ken Block dies after a snowmobile overturned and landed on top of him  

Internet sensation and daring stunt driver Ken Block has died after a tragic snowmobile accident in the U.S.

According to a report by Reuters on Tuesday, January 3, the incident took place in Utah’s Wasatch County, after a snowmobile overturned, while he was riding on a steep slope, and landed on top of him.  

The professional rally driver was 55 years old, and his death was confirmed in a statement released by Block’s Hoonigan Racing team on Instagram.  

“Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed,” it said.   

The statement added, “He was pronounced deceased at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident”.  

Block was riding in a group but was alone when the accident occurred.  

Starting his rally career in 2005, Block was named the Rookie of the year in the Rally America Championship. He also won several rally cross medals at the X games and also competed in the World Rally Championship. 

Aside from this, he was also the co-founder of the American sportswear company DC Shoes and the star behind the YouTube hit channel that produces Gymkhana video series.
