American social media company Twitter announced a new annual plan for its Twitter bule subscription service
Twitter has said that the social media company is now offering a new annual plan for the Twitter Blue subscription service, through which account holders can attain the verified badge at a discounted price.
As per the announcement made by the company on Wednesday, January 18, people can now avail the subscription to the service for $84.
“The discount would be available in countries including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia”. Twitter said, as per Reuters.
This fee will be available as an alternative to the monthly subscription cost of $8 on the web and $11 on Apple devices.
Ever since taking charge of the social media giant Twitter, owner Elon Musk has introduced several changes to the company, including subscription plans for the sought-after Twitter Blue.
Earlier, the blue mark was only given to accounts that were verified and belonged to public figures such as politicians, actors, famous personalities, and journalists.
But Musk changed this to a subscription plan through which anyone could pay and get a verified account.
