President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine forces in the eastern city of Soledar are inflicting damage and holding their position
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that his forces in the eastern city of Soledar are inflicting major damage to the Russian troops and are holding their position.
According to a report by Reuters on Thursday, January 12, Zelensky made this announcement during a video conference.
He also said that after a recent meeting with Ukranian commanders, the officials have worked out step to take in the coming days. They have also analyzed the details regarding reinforcements required to fight the Russians in Soledar as well as in other nearby towns.
“We also discussed the situation regarding the supply of weapons and ammunition to the troops and the relevant cooperation with our partners”, said Zelensky.
During his statement he also passed his gratitude towards two units fighting in Soledar and said that they “are holding their positions and inflicting significant losses on the enemy.”
Meanwhile, as per the report, Russian officials installed in the Donetsk region has also confirmed that several pockets of Ukranian soldiers are resisting the siege by the Russian.
