American music artist Beyoncé won four Grammys during the 2023 historic event
Beyoncé has broken the record for the winning the greatest number of Grammys in its entire history, as she won four awards during the ceremony in Los Angeles.
According to the Guardian on Monday, February 6, the American singer arrived late at the ceremony and eventually won the awards for best R&B song, best dance/electronic recording, best dance/electronic album and best traditional R&B performance.
This took the total number of grammy´s that the artist has won until now to 32 awards.
After receiving the award for during the night she said, “I’m trying not to be too emotional,” adding, “I’m trying to just receive this night.”
She further thanked her husband as well as the “queer community for their love and for inventing the genre”.
Meanwhile, Bonnie Raitt won the award for the song of the year for Just Like That, and Harry Styles won the album of the year award for Harry´s House.
The award for the best pop solo performance was won by Adele for Easy on Me, while Kendrick Lamar won the award for best rap performance, best rap album and best rap song.
Lizzo won the record of the year award for About Damn time and the Grammy for the best comedy album went to Dave Chapelle.
