Police in Spain have arrested two men after a British woman was allegedly sexually assaulted and robbed her in Magaluf
Two men have been arrested by the police in Spain after they robbed and allegedly sexually assaulted a British woman after they attacked and ripped her dress off.
The incident took place in Megaluf, a resort town on the Spanish island of Mallorca.
According to Mail Online, the men ripped the victims’ dress and underwear. They then also stole her designer watch along with jewellery before escaping before the police arrived.
Local reports are describing the incident as rape and as per the Guardia Civil the woman has stated that she had been sexually assaulted.
Officials said that the two men were later arrested, and a policeman has been also injured as the suspects resisted arrest.
The woman who has not been officially named yet, is reported to be 25 years old.
Police said the two suspects arrested are Columbian nationals aged 19 and 24. They also suspect that the men are part of a criminal gang that operates in Palma as well as other towns in Mallorca.
