Two girls in Germany suspected of murdering a 12-year-old girl after her body was found

Prosecutors in Germany on Tuesday, March 14 have said that two girls are suspected of murdering a school girl.

Investigations were started after a body of a 12-year-old girl was found near a cycling track in the woodland, as per Reuters.

Police said that the body of the victim named Luise was found on Sunday, March 12.

Following an investigation, it was revealed that she had died due to knife wounds, stated prosecutor Mario Mannweiler.

The prosecutor also added that no weapon has been found so far.

He said that “We believe that this crime was committed by two children”.

As the children suspected of murder are aged 12 and 13 years, they are by law not subject to criminal law in Germany.

Due to this, they have been placed in the hands of the youth office.

“There was no evidence that anyone else was involved or that there had been a sexual assault”, said Mannweiler.
