Officials in Ukraine said dozens of buildings have been damaged after missiles were fired by Russia 

 

Russian missile strikes have killed two people in Ukraine, after they hit a city in the east, damaging several homes and building.  

According to Reuters, the strikes happened on Monday, May 1, as a statement issued by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “The Russian occupiers will receive our answer for every such strike”. 

He also stated that “The terrorists’ missiles took the lives of two people, very young men”, adding, “The Russian occupiers will receive our answer for every such strike”. 

Zelensky also said that a 14-year-old boy has also been killed after a bomb hit near his school located in the Chernihiv region, close to the Russian border. 

After the strikes, Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipropetrovsk region council, said, “the attack had damaged 19 apartment blocks, 25 houses, three schools, three kindergartens and several shops”.  

He added, “The wounded included five children”.
