In light of the vote to leave the European Union, Monarch Airlines have answered some key immediate questions travellers may find useful.
Am I still able to use my passport?
ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) has confirmed yes you can use your passport – “Until the UK officially leaves the EU, not sooner than two years’ time, there will be no changes to passports.”
Do I now require a visa to travel?
According to ABTA “travellers are free to move between the UK and the EU as they were yesterday.”
Is my EHIC card still valid?
ABTA has also commented European Health Insurance cards remain valid.
Will there be any changes to my flight or holiday?
ABTA has said “People due to travel this summer will see little change to their travel arrangements.”
