Spain’s largest immersive exhibition displays over 200 of the Spanish artists’ works as projections

The IFEMA Madrid is hosting an exhibition titles Imagine Picasso to celebrate the revolutionary artist, Pablo Picasso. The exhibition aims to bring life to the works of the famous Spanish artist by displaying them in large spaces through projections and light installations. According to a report in Euronews, this is the largest immersive experience exhibition ever organized in Spain.

Over 200 of his famous paintings, including Guernica and Les Demoiselles d’Avignon, are being projected on the walls and the floors of the exhibition venue. Aside from this, huge polyhedral structures inspired by the origami pieces that Picasso made for his children have also been displayed, according to the report.

Annabelle Mauger, a pioneer of immersive art, and Rudy Ricciotti, winner of the Grand Prix National d’architecture, collaborated to create this creative experience. The projections are accompanied by some of Picasso’s favorite contemporary composers, including Debussy, Satie, and Ravel, as well as traditional French children’s songs, the report said.

The immersive exhibition can be visited until April 10, 2023. Visitors can also learn about Picasso’s early work, the Blue Period, the Rose Period, the African Period, Cubism, Neoclassicism, Surrealism, and his later work, in addition to viewing the amazing painting projections, the report added.
