Letter bomb sent to Spanish President

Explosive devices concealed in postal packages also found at the European Union satellite centre, Spain’s Defence Ministry and the US embassy building 

After an employee was injured in a small explosion at the Ukraine embassy in Madrid, another letter bomb has now been sent to Spain President Pedro Sanchez.

According to a report by Euronews, the incident was confirmed by the Spanish interior ministry on Thursday, December 1.  

The interior ministry said in a statement that, “An envelope containing pyrotechnic material was detected and neutralised by the security services on November 24”.  

Meanwhile Spanish police authorities have also said that another explosive package was also sent to an arms factory in Zaragoza. The report said, the factory that makes grenade launchers donated to Ukraine was targeted, but police carried out a controlled explosion of the parcel at the factory.  

Another report of letter bomb also came from the European Union satellite center located in the Torrejón de Ardoz air base outside Madrid. Aside from this two more letter bomb were also sent to Spain´s defence ministry and a US embassy.
