Top leaders from Ukraine´s interior ministry dies after a helicopter crashed in a kindergarten in the Kyiv region 

A helicopter carrying members of the Ukraine´s interior ministry, has crashed near kindergarten, killing nine people onboard along with fiver other and a child.  

According to a report by the BBC on Wednesday, January 18, over 25 people have been injured in the incident which took place in the Brovary in the Kyiv region.  

As per an announcement made by the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, 11 children from the kindergarten have also been reported after the crash.  

A statement by the state emergency services said that they found 14 bodies at the site of the helicopter crash, after first announcing that 18 people had died. 

They said, nine people on board the helicopter included six government officials, three crew members and one child.  

After examining the bodies, Police in Ukraine confirmed that among the dead was also the interior minister Denis Monastyrsky, First Deputy Minister Yevheniy Yenin and State Secretary Yuriy Lubkovychis.  

Authorities have not announced the possible cause of the crash yet but the SBU state security service has stated that they were checking into all possible causes.
