COSTA COBRAS RFC
In two weeks time Costa Cobras RFC seniors will be taking part in their first set of matches in the 4th Formentera del Segura 7’s tournament on 27 June, and will be one of eight teams taking part. The tournament kicks off at 10.00 at the polideportivo.
A lot of the players have never played a game of competitive rugby before, but with experienced players along side of them it will help them a lot, so it will be a very steep learning curve for them and great experience.
We have now started training on Guardamar beach on Tuesday at 19.00 down in front of the restaurants, so all are welcome to come along and join in.
Training still takes place on Monday and Wednesday from 18.00-19.30 for the juniors, while the seniors will be training from 20.00-21.30 at Daya Vieja sports ground.
For anybody interested in playing for the club in the 7’s and joining the club come along to the training or the meeting on Friday 19 June at 20.00 at the Bridge Bar in Rojales, everybody welcome.
All ages, gender and nationalities are welcome, from beginners to experienced players, the more the merrier, as we are based on the true traditional ethics of the sport. So come along and join the newest rugby team on the Costa Blanca, also team bonding after training in the nearest bar for a drink and chat, just how rugby should be.
So get those boots out and come on down to Daya Vieja sports ground and join in the rugby revolution of 2015, with the Rugby World Cup to look forward to as well, get into this great sport.
