BEACHES FOR CHILDREN
The Region of Murcia offers thousands of possibilities for every option, and beaches are not an exception. Here you have infinite ways of living and enjoying the Costa Cálida; with this objective, we have prepared for you a selection of beaches so that you can choose where to go depending on your taste, your needs or how you feel like spending the day: with children, playing sports, going to a nudist beach or to a wonderful virgin setting. Golden sand beaches, natural settings, localities with a rugged coastline, no-name coves and shores, accessible and busy popular ones. Everything for everyone.
ÁGUILAS: Playa de La Colonia – La Colonia Beach
Urban beach, open to the south, partially protected from the easterly wind thanks to the Castle promontory, where it was born. It extends to the breakwater, where the Poniente beach ends. The old fishmonger’s, the Poniente port and the balnearios used to be there. It is surrounded by gardens, palms, recreational areas, children’s and sports games.
CARTAGENA: Playa Cala Cortina – Cortina Cove
Urban beach, open to the south, partially protected from the easterly wind thanks to the Castle promontory, where it was born. It extends to the breakwater, where the Poniente beach ends. LA MANGA DEL MAR MENOR: Cala del Pino – Pino Cove
There you will find a golden sand, urban beach, surrounded by vegetation. Accessible for disabled and those with reduced mobility. You will spend a wonderful day at its picnic area or its big pine forest. It also has a kiosk, children’s play area, restaurant, foot-washing station, access walkways, toilets open first aid and life guard station open during peak summer season from 11am to 7pm.
MAZARRÓN: Playa del Castellar – Castellar Beach
With a wide range of services and the Q for tourist Quality, as well as children’s play area, daily activities during July and August, toilets and changing rooms, chiringuito, hotel and restaurant. It is 1170m long and has an approximate width of 26m; it has shallow waters and coarse golden sand. Civil Protection lifeguard.
