HOUSING company Almeria XXI has reportedly submitted for public tender of the first phase of urbanisation works of the new IKEA.
According to reports, the work for building the new IKEA will be divided into two phases, the first of which mainly involves clearing about 185,000 cubic metres
They have reportedly bid almost €593,000 for the first phase of works, which they plan to complete in just in three months.
Companies interested in submitting a proposal have until 1pm on February 15 to deliver their proposals to the Municipal Housing Company offices in Careaga square in Almeria city.
The brand new IKEA, which will be located next to Rambla Belen, is expected to open in 2019 and create an estimated 750 jobs.
It will coincide with the new Torrecardenas Shopping Centre, which once finished is expected to create 30,000 square metres of commercial space and create 2,000 jobs.
