Two activists from the French group Derniere Renovation (Last Renovation) in a protest spray painted the front entrance of PM Élisabeth Borne´s office 

Police in Paris have arrested two climate activists after they spray painted the entrence of the French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne´s office.

According to a report by Reuters, the incident took place on Wednesday, January 4 and was organized as a protest by climate activist group group Derniere Renovation (Last Renovation).  

A video of the protest which was put up online by the group shows police arresting two of its activists who were wearing the T-shirts that read “Who is guilty”.  

The activists sprayed orange paint as a part of a campaign called “climate crimes” committed by the state. 

The incident took place while French President Emmanuel Macron was charing a cabinet meeting.  

A statement later released by the group said, “the state had failed to meet its commitments to help fight climate change”.  

Meanwhile, no reaction was issued by the prime minister´s office.
