North German authorities have said that a knife attack on a train killed two and injured several people on Wednesday, January 25
Two people have been killed after a 33-year-old stateless man from Palestine attacked them with a knife, as per German authorities.
According to a report in Reuters, the incident took place on a regional train that was travelling between Kiel and Hamburg in northern Germany.
Authorities have said that three other people have been seriously injured in the attack, including four others who have suffered minor injuries.
Local reports cited in the article suggest that the man came from Gaza over eight years ago, as per recent investigations.
The team investigating the case also said that he has a criminal history, adding that no evidence of political motivation has been found.
Police from Schlewsig-Holstein, located on the border of Denmark have now stated that the man was arrested during a train stop in the village of Brokstedt. He was then taken to the hospital, where he received treatment for minor injuries.
