Police officers rescue disorientated Alzheimer’s sufferer from middle of road

OFFICERS of the Guardia Civil’s traffic division have rescued an 81-year-old person, suffering from Alzheimer’s, after they wandered onto the AL-12 highway.

Police received several calls from worried civilians who had informed officers of an elderly person’s presence in the middle of the road on the airport highway.

According to reports, the person seemed very disorientated and confused.

Police were also reportedly told that several vehicles had to swerve in order to avoid the person.

Once they arrived on the scene, officers were able to move the person safely and later identify the individual and locate their family.
